Bharatiya Janata Party has raised questions on Arvind Kejriwal’s tweet on Hemant Soren. The party has said that Arvind Kejriwal has tweeted in defense of Hemant Soren and has also expressed apprehension that along with him, another Chief Minister may also be arrested. According to the party, this is a wrong attempt to justify corruption. Earlier, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had said that the investigation on Hemant Soren had not even started yet, yet he has been put in jail. Kejriwal has asked whether Hemant Soren will be kept in jail for 15 years if the investigation of the case continues for 15 years.
BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said in a press conference on Thursday that Hemant Soren faces serious allegations of taking over the land of tribals and army. An expensive car and cash worth more than Rs 350 crore have been recovered from one of his close relatives. This is enough evidence to start investigating a case. He said that even after this it is not right for a Chief Minister to defend anyone.
Delhi BJP leader Harish Khurana said that no matter how much Kejriwal wants to ignore the summons, one day he will have to answer on the corruption that has been done through his party and his government. He said that on the basis of the evidence which Arvind Kejriwal was calling wrong, the court has asked Kejriwal to appear before the investigating agency on February 17. Khurana said that the case is being investigated and heard on the basis of the same evidence on the basis of which Aam Aadmi Party leaders Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh are not getting bail till now.
